Something Always Comes Up!

Have you noticed how something ALWAYS comes up when we decide to pursue our most passionate dreams and seems to deter us from pursuing them?

Sometimes it's an unexpected emergency, or a deep-seated fear, or prudence, or being too tired, or being distracted by something more interesting, but the truth is that something ALWAYS comes up. Why is this?

I think it's the universe's way of testing us, to see if we are really ready to have our dream. The universe wants to know if we are ready to embrace a different and perhaps larger concept of ourselves and if we are truly committed to making the changes in our lives that growing into something new requires.

When we let what comes up deter us from keeping our word to ourselves, it signals to the universe that we are not yet ready to have whatever it is we say we want. And of course, the universe responds accordingly.

It starts of as an egg, progressing to a larva, then a pupa, before becoming a butterfly. Each one of these stages bears no resemblance to the previous stage and requires a different kind of creative energy in order to be achieved.

Your access to the creative energy required for your own personal transformation is deciding on the change you desire and then choosing to honor that decision, no matter what. When we choose to honor our word to ourselves, we empower ourselves to move forward with velocity towards our cherished goal.

I encourage you to make a promise to yourself about who you will become, and choose to keep your promise, regardless of what comes up.

That's the key to realizing your dreams.

What an extraordinary journey! Here I am in day 61 of AnaMaria Rivera's Love Your Self Bootcamp, and I am experiencing more freedom and more abundance than I ever imagined! I keep falling in love with myself more deeply every day. Last week , I was in the hospital for six days. My unexpected forced sojourn there slowed me down and gave me time to think about what I was really doing with my life? What am I teaching? Why am I teaching it?
